Apply the silicone sealant on the clean sealing surface of the cover as illustrated.
‹› Thickness of sealant bead: 2 to 3 mm
‹› The cover must be installed within 5 minutes after the silicone sealant has been applied.
‹› The sealant bead may not be thicker than specified, otherwise excess sealant could enter the oil pan and clog the oil intake tube.

Mount the cover immediately and tighten the bolts, tightening sequence. Refer to => [ Timing Chain Lower Cover Tightening Sequence ] See:
Timing Chain Cover Assembly Overview.
‹› After installing cover, allow sealant to dry for approximately 30 minutes. Only after then may the engine oil be replenished.

Check oil level.
Further installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

Install the ribbed belt tensioner. Refer to => [ Ribbed Belt Tensioner ] See: Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Drive Belt
Tensioner/Service and Repair.

Install ribbed belt => [ Ribbed Belt ] See: Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Drive Belt/Service and Repair/Ribbed Belt.

Adjust subframe mount. Refer to => [ Subframe Mount, Adjusting ] See: Body and Frame/Frame/Subframe/Front Subframe Mount/Adjustments.
