Fuel Rail: Service and Repair

Fuel Rail Assembly Overview

1 - Fuel injector

‹› With combustion chamber seal (Teflon seal), always replace

‹› Replace O-rings

‹› Note correct installation position

‹› Removing and installing => [ Fuel Injectors ] See: Fuel Injector/Service and Repair.

2 - Support ring

3 - Fuel rail

‹› Removing and installing => [ Intake Manifold with Fuel Rail ] See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Intake Manifold/Service and

Repair/Intake Manifold with Fuel Rail.

4 - Mechanical single-piston high-pressure pump 

‹› With fuel pressure regulator valve (N276)

‹› There is an electric fuel pump located in the tank that supplies fuel to the mechanical high pressure pump.

‹› When installing high-pressure pump, make sure that no dirt enters fuel system.
