Wastegate Actuator: Service and Repair

Turbocharger Vacuum Diaphragm

Removing

-

Remove turbocharger => [ Part IV ] See: Service and Repair/Turbocharger Assembly Overview.

-

Remove securing plate - 1 - over linkage on turbocharger. 

-

Loosen lock nut - 2 -.

-

Disconnect linkage from turbocharger - 3 -.

-

Disconnect vacuum diaphragm - 1 - and remove -  4 -.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

‹› Tightening specifications. Refer to => [ Turbocharger Assembly Overview ] See: Service and Repair/Turbocharger Assembly Overview.

Adjust the turbocharger vacuum diaphragm. Refer to => [ Turbocharger Vacuum Diaphragm, Adjusting ] See: Adjustments.

Install the turbocharger. Refer to => [ Turbocharger ] See: Service and Repair/Turbocharger.
