Windshield Wiper Motor with Wiper Motor Control Module, from 06.2008

The Wiper Motor Control Module (J400) is integrated in the windshield wiper motor.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Pry lever (80-200)

Observe notes on contact corrosion => [ Contact Corrosion ] See: Wiper and Washer Systems/Service Precautions.

Removing

-

Remove wiper arms => [ Windshield Wiper Arms ] See: Wiper and Washer Systems/Wiper Arm/Service and Repair/Windshield Wiper Arms.

Remove the spray nozzles - arrow -.

-

Push the spray jet with the lines connected through the opening in the plenum chamber.

-

Remove the seal - 1 -.

CAUTION!
Danger of damaging the plenum chamber cover.

‹› Coat the transition between the windshield and cowl panel trim -  2 - with some soapy water and carefully pull the cowl panel trim 

vertically out of the retainer on the windshield beginning at the edge of the window.
