Slide boot - 2 - on to tie rod - 1 -, pay attention to correct position when doing this.

Slide boot on to steering gear housing until it stops.

Tighten new clamp using locking pliers (VAS 6199 ) to the extent depicted in the illustration.
Further installation is in reverse order of removal.

After installation the vehicle must be measured.

Perform basic setting for steering angle sensor.
