Secure spring clamp on boot using hose clamp pliers (VAG 1275).

Slide boot on to steering gear housing.

Tighten new clamp using locking pliers (VAS 6199 ) to the extent depicted in the illustration.

Further installation is in the reverse sequence to removal.

After the installation the vehicle must be measured.

Perform vehicle alignment. Refer to => [ Measurement Procedure ] See: Alignment/Service and Repair/Measurement Procedure.

Perform basic setting for steering angle sensor.

-

Perform basic setting of steering system.
