Transverse Link with Mounting Bracket, DSG or Automatic Transmission

The same procedure used for removing the right transverse link on vehicles with a manual transmission is used on vehicles with a DSG or an

Removing Left Transverse Link

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Engine/Transmission Jack (VAG 1383 A)

‹› Locating Pins (T10096)

Remove left front wheel.

-

Remove lower noise insulation.

-

Remove noise insulation if installed.

-

Remove diagonal brace if installed. Refer to => [ Diagonal Braces ] See: Subframe/Front Subframe/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Front Suspension/Diagonal Braces.

Remove bracket for exhaust system from the subframe.

-

Remove bolts - arrows - from heat shield.

-

Remove heat shield from subframe.

-

Remove pendulum support from transmission, remove bolts -  14 - to do so.
