Affected Vehicles

91 Navigation plus (RNS-E): Route guidance inaccurate

Condition

Route guidance from the navigation system does not match the route being driven.

Generally, the spoken route guidance or instructions in the Driver Information Display (DIS) are announced too late.

-

The position of the vehicle on the map is not correct and quickly changes after the vehicle makes a turn.

Technical Background

The tire circumference stored in the navigation unit is incorrect.

Production Solution

Corrected adaptation values.

Service

1. Compare the actual value in adaptation channel 1 (Figure 1, green) with the learned value (Figure 1, red). The values should be similar.
