Air Door Actuator / Motor: Testing and Inspection
Fresh/Recirculating Air Door Motor, Checking

Remove the glove compartment, if necessary.

Switch ignition on.

Set switch for Fresh Air Blower (V2) - G - to speed "3".

Turn rotary switch for air distribution - B - into " air distribution to instrument panel vents" position.

The fresh/recirculating air button - F - is not operated (fresh air mode, button indicator light does not come on).
‹› Air is drawn in via fresh air intake from plenum chamber.

Operate fresh/recirculating air button - F - (recirculating air, button indicator lamp lights up).
‹› Air is drawn in from behind the glove compartment (recirculating air mode).

Turn rotary switch for air distribution - B - into " air distribution to front windshield" position - D -.
‹› Indicator lamp in the fresh/recirculating air button - F - goes out, fresh/recirculating air door goes into "fresh air mode" position.
‹› If not OK, then check the Heater Control Module ( J65) electronics and the Fresh/Recirculating Air Door Motor (V154) activation. Refer to => [
