‹› So that change in noise of Fresh Air Blower (V2) by the changed air intake during change-over from fresh air mode to recirculating air mode or
vice versa (change-over occurs e.g. in vehicles with Air Quality Sensor (G238) automatically which air pollution is encountered) is reduced,
activation of Back Pressure Flap Motor (V71) and of Air Recirculation Flap Motor (V113) occurs as follows:
‹› When switching from fresh air to recirculation mode, the recirculation door - E - is first opened, then the fresh air intake channel is closed via the
back pressure flap - A -.
‹› When switching from recirculation to fresh air mode, the fresh air intake channel is first closed by the back pressure flap - A -, then the air
recirculation flap - E - is closed.
‹› In partially recirculating air mode, recirculating air door - E - is opened and air flow door (fresh air door) - A - is brought into an intermediate
position by A/C control head Climatronic Control Module (J255) (fresh air and recirculating air intake channel are slightly opened
simultaneously). This achieves improved cool-off in certain temperature ranges and simultaneously draws in a certain portion of fresh air as well.
