Cabin Ventilation Duct: Testing and Inspection
Air Extraction Vent, Checking
-
Check ventilation channels to both ventilation frames - A - in luggage compartment (left and right) for throughput.
-
Sealing lips - B - in ventilation frames - A - must move freely and close by themselves.
-
Blocked channels to ventilation frames or jammed sealing lips may cause windows to fog up.
NOTE:
-
In this illustration, ventilation frame - A - is depicted with rear bumper removed.
-
For forced air extraction, one ventilation frame - A - each is installed on left and right.
-
So that sealing lips - B - close correctly, ventilation frame - A - must be installed on proper side (smaller radius - C - at top).
-
In order for the passenger compartment ventilation to function properly, the vent openings - A - and - B - in the luggage compartment trim on left
and right must not be closed.
