Connect Bowden cable for temperature door onto base plate -  A - (only present on vehicles without A/C system).

Connect base plate - D - to Heater Control Module (J65) (A/C Control Module (J301 )) - C - => [ Heater and A/C System Controls ] See: Heater
and A/C System Controls.

Bring rotary switch - D - into the position in which the flexible shaft - C - can be inserted into mount of base plate - A -.

-

Insert flexible shaft - C - into base plate -  A -

Bring rotary switch - D - into "air in footwell " position (as shown).

-

Check position of right footwell door - E -, air guide channel - F - must be opened completely.

Air guide channel - F - is closed

-

Release flexible shaft - C - from base plate -  A -

-

Turn rotary switch - D - into "air distribution to front windshield" position (approximately 180°).

-

Insert flexible shaft - C - into base plate -  A -

-

Bring rotary switch - D - into "air in footwell " position (as shown).

-

Check position of right footwell door - E -, air guide channel - F - must be opened completely.

The rest of the installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
