Ambient Light Sensor: Service and Repair

Rain/Light Recognition Sensor

Removing

-

If the rain/light recognition sensor (G397) was replaced, selected the "Replace" function for the respective control module in "Guided Fault
Finding" or "Guided Functions ".

-

Select the function or path:

-

Follow further instructions on display of (VAS 5051B).

Pry the top cover - 1 - from the interior rearview mirror base - arrows -.

-

Remove the electrical connector from the bracket.

-

Disconnect the electrical connector - 2 -.

-

Turn the interior rearview mirror on the base - 1 - counterclockwise -  arrow - as far as the stop.

-

Remove interior mirror from holding plate.
