Brake Light Switch: Service and Repair

Brake Light Switch

‹› To ensure secure installation, switch may only be installed once.

Removing

-

Remove driver side storage tray: => Body Interior

 68 Removal and Installation

-

Separate electrical connection.

-

Remove brake Brake Light Switch (F) by rotating it 45° toward the left.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, with special attention to the following:

-

Pull out plunger of brake light switch completely - arrow  -.

-

Insert retaining tabs of switch - 1 - and -  2 - into the intended notches in the installation opening and secure switch by rotating it 45° toward the
right.

Connect brake light switch connector.

‹› The brake pedal must not be actuated during installation.

‹› When installing the brake light switch, the plunger adjusts itself automatically.

Check function of the brake lights by actuating and unactuating brake pedal.
