‹› Follow the safety precautions for pyrotechnic components.

‹› Follow the disposal regulations for pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Pyrotechnic Restraint System Component Disposal ] See:

‹› Before handling pyrotechnic components (e.g. disconnecting the electrical connector), the person handling it must "discharge static

electricity ". This can be done by touching door striker, for example.

‹› Set the airbag down so the padding faces upward.

‹› Installing an airbag unit on the steering column switch module is prohibited if Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module is

faulty. Refer to => [ to steering column switch module ].
