Return Spring with Slip Ring and Contact Unit

Steering Wheel

‹› Removal and installation is the same for all versions of the 4-spoke steering wheel.

Removing

-

Remove airbag unit - 7 -:

‹› Steering wheel without multi-function, without Tiptronic. 

‹› Steering wheel with multi-function and with multi-function with Tiptronic.

Release contact unit connector - 5 -.

-

Remove contact unit connector - 5 - from contact unit on return spring with slip ring - 1 -.

-

Bring steering wheel to center position (wheels straight).

-

Remove hex socket heat bolt - 9 -.
