The old passenger airbag module must be installed with the old nuts and the old tightening specification and the new passenger airbag
module must be installed with the new nuts and according to the new tightening specification. 

Check the part number to determine if a new or old passenger airbag module is installed in the vehicle.

‹› Replace

‹› 9 Nm "old" nuts for the "old" passenger airbag module.

‹› 7 Nm "new" nuts for the "new" passenger airbag module.

CAUTION!
Nut - 4 - on passenger airbag unit must not be loosened under any circumstances.

Left Retainer

‹› Always replace after airbag has deployed.

Removing

-

Remove passenger's airbag unit.

-

Remove bolts - 11 - (Qty. 2).

-

Remove left bracket - 5 -.

Installing

To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order.
