Carefully release catches - arrows - and remove return spring with slip ring - 1 - from steering column switch module (SMLS).

Installing

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

NOTE:  Return spring with slip ring is secured as a new part in center position with a cable tie or shear ring.

Ensure all catches and connections engage cleanly.

Then hook front of upper part of steering column trim into lower part - arrow 1 -.

Ensure pin on rear of steering column lower trim engages in cut-out on steering column upper trim retaining tab - arrow 2 -.

NOTE:  Shown on removed steering column trim in illustration.

Engage gap cover on instrument cluster.
