Passenger Occupant Detection Seat Belt Latch

‹› The passenger occupant detection system seat belt latch is only installed on the passenger seat.

Removing

CAUTION!
‹› Follow the safety precautions for pyrotechnic components.

‹› Replace the passenger occupant detection system seat belt latch each time the passenger belt tensioner deploys.

‹› Follow the disposal regulations for pyrotechnic components. Refer to=> [ Pyrotechnic Restraint System Component Disposal ] See:

Remove front seat:

‹› Manual seat=> [ Front Manual Seat ] See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Front Manual Seats

‹› Power seat=> [ Power Seat ] See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Power Front Seats

Secure the seat on the fixture for seat repair ( VAS 6136). Refer to => [ Front Seat, Installing on VAS 6136 ] See: Body and
Frame/Seats/Description and Operation/Front Manual Seats.

Disconnect both connectors (yellow and black) under seat not shown in illustration.

Remove the bolt - 2 -.

-

Remove seat belt latch - 1 -.
