Press button - a - in the direction of - arrow - and then disconnect the connector.

Remove bolts - 1 - and pry the servo motor with control module from the steering gear housing.

Clean sealing surfaces.
CAUTION.
No seal remnants must enter steering gear housing when cleaning sealing surfaces.
‹› Replace the steering gear if there is corrosion, damage or wear on the steering rack.
Installing

Pull a new sealing ring on to servo motor with control module.
CAUTION.
Do not use other grease under any circumstances.
Before installation, servomotor pinion must be coated with grease from repair kit (G 052 192 A1).

Lubricate pinion.

Coat sealing surfaces - arrow - with Curil (K2).
