Secure spring clamp on boot using hose clamp pliers (VAG 1275).

Slide boot on to steering gear housing.

Tighten new clamp with locking pliers (VAS 6199 ) as illustrated.
Further installation is in the reverse sequence to removal.

After the installation the vehicle must be measured.
