Steering Gear: Removal and Replacement
Servomotor With Control Module

Servomotor with Control Module

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque Wrench (VAG 1331)

‹› Torque Wrench (VAG 1332)

‹› Bracket (VW 540/2)

‹› Thrust Piece (3253/6) qty. 2

Removing

-

Remove steering gear. Refer to => [ Electromechanical Steering Gear ] See: Electromechanical Steering Gear. 

-

Clean steering gear in area of servo motor with control module. 

-

Clamp steering gear as illustrated.

1. Bracket VW 540/2

2. Thrust Piece 3253/6 (quantity: 2)

Rotate steering into the straight position.

-

Remove hydraulic thrust piece. Refer to => [ Hydraulic Thrust Piece ] See: Hydraulic Thrust Piece.

Disconnect connector from control module.
