Press ball joint out of wheel bearing housing.

CAUTION.
When pressing off, the ball joint loosens itself from the wheel bearing housing abruptly - risk of accident.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, with special attention to the following:

Install new self-locking nut, and counter-hold using internal torx bit (T40) - 1 -.

‹› Standard ring spanner inserts (18 mm) can also be used instead of the spanner insert (VAG 1332/10).

Guide drive axle into the wheel hub splines.

Tighten drive axle:
