Transmission Temperature Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair

Transmission Input Speed Sensor and Clutch Oil Temperature Sensor

Removing

CAUTION!
Do not run engine with the oil pan removed or without transmission oil and do not tow vehicle.

‹› Coat O-rings and seals with transmission fluid. Other lubricating substances lead to functional problems in the hydraulic transmission control.

Drain transmission fluid => [ Transmission Oil, Draining, Changing and Filling ] See: Fluid - A/T/Service and Repair/02E
Transmission/Transmission Oil, Draining, Changing and Filling.

Remove oil pan => [ Oil Pan ] See: Fluid Pan/Service and Repair/02E Transmission/Oil Pan.

Remove Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) Mechatronic ( J743) => [ DSG Mechatronic ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Direct
Shift Gearbox (DSG) Mechatronic (J743).

Remove bolt - B -.

-

Remove transmission input speed (RPM) sensor ( G182)/clutch oil temperature sensor (G509) - A - together with the wire from the transmission.

Installing

Install in reverse sequence; note the following points:

Torque specifications: => [ Oil Pan, Mechatronic, Transmission Oil Pump ] See: Fluid Pan/Service and Repair/02E Transmission/Oil Pan,
Mechatronic, Transmission Oil Pump

Coat Transmission Input Speed (RPM) Sensor (G182 )/Clutch Oil Temperature Sensor (G509) -  item A - with transmission fluid and insert it into
the side opening of the transmission.
