‹› A second technician is required under the vehicle to remove the selector mechanism function unit.

Remove nuts (from above) - arrows -.

-

Remove selector mechanism function unit downward, together with the selector lever cable.

‹› Take care not to bend or kink selector lever cable.

The selector mechanism function unit can also be replaced without the select lever cable; to do this, disconnect selector lever cable from the selector
mechanism function unit and remove it => [ Selector Lever Cable ] See: Shift Linkage/Shift Cable/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement. 

Installing

Install in reverse sequence; note the following points:

Torque specifications for bolts and nuts, and whether bolts and nuts are to be replaced, refer to => [ Selector Mechanism Assembly Overview ] See:
Selector Mechanism Assembly Overview.

‹› Take care not to bend or kink selector lever cable.
