It should no longer be possible to remove protective seal from brake caliper housing by hand.

Thinly coat piston and seal with lithium grease ( G 052 150 A2) before inserting.

Lift brake piston, as shown, with commercially available extension and ratchet adapter and lightly press against protective seal.

Do not angle piston, to avoid damaging seal sleeve.

Blow protective seal on with pressurized air (max. 3 bar). The protective seal will thereby jump over brake piston.

Use protective backings

-

Press piston into brake caliper housing by hand.

‹› The inner sealing lip of the protective seal thereby slips into the groove on the piston.
