Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Reservoir

Removing

Observe safety precautions => [ Safety Precautions ] See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Safety Precautions/Fuel Supply System.

Observe rules for cleanliness => [ Clean Working Conditions ] See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Clean Working Conditions/Fuel
Supply System.

Place drip tray under fuel filter.

CAUTION!
There is a risk of injury because the fuel is under high pressure. 

‹› Before opening the fuel system, lay a clean cloth around the connection point and carefully loosen it, which lowers the pressure.

Disconnect fuel lines - 1 -, - 2 - and -  3 - by pressing the release buttons.

-

Remove bolts - 4 -.

-

Remove fuel filter.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

Installed location:

‹› The direction of flow is marked on filter housing with arrows.

‹› Pin - 2 - on filter housing must engage in recess of guide - 1 - on filter bracket.
