Remove cap nut. Refer to => [ (Item 3) Cap Nut - 9 Nm ] and remove ground cable from threaded pins.

Remove the six bolts. Refer to => [ (Item 4) Screws - 5 Nm ].

Remove bolts. Refer to => [ (Item 5) Screws - 5 Nm ] and remove side curtain airbag from retaining hooks - arrow -.
Installing
‹› Replace self-locking nuts and screws when assembling.

Hang side curtain airbag on retaining hooks - arrow -.

Tighten both bolts. Refer to => [ (Item 5) Screws - 5 Nm ] by hand.

Tighten bolts. Refer to => [ (Item 4) Screws - 5 Nm ] and => [ (Item 5) Screws - 5 Nm ] to 5 Nm.

When connecting connector. Refer to => [ (Item 2) Side Curtain Airbag Connector ] , ensure it engages securely and securing clip is installed.
‹› A different version of the connector may be installed. To connect these, proceed as follows. Refer to => [ Side curtain airbag connector,
connecting (other
version) ]

Tighten ground cable with cap nu. Refer to t => [ (Item 3) Cap Nut - 9 Nm ] to 9 Nm.

Install headliner.
CAUTION!
Ignition must be on when connecting battery. If pyrotechnic components (e.g. airbag, belt tensioner) are not repaired correctly, they may
deploy unintentionally after connecting battery. There must not be anyone inside the vehicle when connecting the battery.

Disconnect the battery ground wire with the ignition switched on.
‹› If Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) (K75) indicates a fault after installation, DTC memory must be checked, deleted and checked again.

Side Curtain Airbag Connector
‹› To remove, open securing clip with screwdriver
‹› After connecting, press in securing clip
‹› ensure it has engaged securely
