Seat Belt Buckle Switch: Service and Repair

Belt Fastening Detection

‹› The Front Passenger's Seat Occupied Sensor (G128 ) is only installed on passenger side.

Removing

CAUTION!
Follow the safety precautions for pyrotechnic components.

Remove passenger seat:

‹› Manual seat=> [ Front Manual Seat ] See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Front Manual Seats

‹› Power seat => [ Power Seat ] See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Power Front Seats

‹› Remove padding only until Front Passenger's Seat Occupied Sensor (G128) - 2 - has been freed up!

Remove seat pan cover and padding. Refer to => [ Seat Pan Cover and Cushion ] See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Overhaul/Front

Remove Front Passenger's Seat Occupied Sensor ( G128) connector - 2 -.

-

Carefully remove Front Passenger's Seat Occupied Sensor (G128) - 2 - from seat padding -  1 -.

Installing

CAUTION!
Follow the safety precautions for pyrotechnic components.

To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order. Observe the following when doing so:

Position circuit board - 4 - from Front Passenger's Seat Occupied Sensor (G128) - 2 - in cut-out - 3 - in seat padding - 1 -.
