Drive drive axle out of the transmission by striking the aluminum wedge (T10161) once.

-

Remove drive axle.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, noting the following: 

-

Replace drive axle circlip each time it is removed.

Grease all around the joint pins in area - A - with approximately 0.5 g grease.

First install the drive axle on the transmission side.

Slide drive axle into the transmission until the circlip engages. 

‹› Check drive axle in transmission for proper seating by pulling joint piece against resistance from circlip. When checking, only pull on the joint

piece and not on the drive axle.

Tighten the drive axle hex combi bolt. Refer to => [ Drive Axle Hex Combination Bolt, Loosening and Tightening ] See: Service and
