Condition

Poor AM reception (fewer channels received and lower signal volume) may be due to excessive solder flux on antenna amplifier spring contacts.

Production

Excessive solder flux as been eliminated beginning with the following VIN's.

Service

Remove rear headliner trim:

A4 - see Repair Manual Group 70 - Roof end, 
assembly overview 

A8 L - see Repair Manual Group 70 - Roof 
frame, removing and Installing.

Disconnect Ground (GND) lead -1-.

-

Release clasps -arrows- and lower amplifier module.

-

Disconnect electrical connectors -2- and remove amplifier module -3-.
