Check spring contacts -arrows- for flux residue.

If flux residue is present:

Replace amplifier module (Do Not attempt to clean spring contacts, or damage may result).

Check spring contact pads -arrows- on rear window glass.

If flux residue is present:

-

Apply a small amount of Stabilant-22A to a cotton swab and wipe clean the six contact pads.

Install amplifier module.

Note:

Reconnect electrical connectors matching color-coding on amplifier module.

-

Confirm AM reception has improved.

-

Reinstall rear headliner trim.

If AM reception has not improved, additional diagnosis will be required.
