74 Front seat backrest trim panel loose

Condition

Front seat backrest trim panel loose at the bottom.

Technical Background

May be due to backrest trim panel lower retaining clip(s) breaking when excessive lumbar support is applied. May also be due to excessive force being
used when backrest trim panel was previously removed.

Production Solution

Reinforced lower retaining clips used on backrest trim panel.

Service

Install repair kit (Part No. 8E0 898 035) as follows:

1. Detach 3 upper retaining clips using trim tool (Tool No. US 1114).
