Note:

^ For the following repair steps, the engine must be able to run in neutral on the hoist for an extended period of time, but it is not necessary to restore the

vehicle to full driving conditions. Ensure engine and transmission are adequately supported.

4. Place vehicle on hoist, transmission in neutral, and ensure wheels are raised off the ground.

Note:

^ Ensure adequate ventilation to engine and unrestricted airflow to coolant radiator.

5. Start the engine and run engine in neutral at approximately 2000 RPM for 10 minutes to allow the engine to circulate the fresh engine oil.

Warning:

Do not leave engine running unattended.

6. After 10 minutes, return to idle and turn the engine off.

7. Replace the engine oil and oil filter cartridge again before returning the vehicle to the customer.
