Restrictor, Removing And Installing
NOTE: Up to model year 2001, restrictors with yellow color markings were installed (diameter of hole/narrow neck 1.54 mm). As of model year 2002,
restrictors with red color markings are installed (diameter of hole/narrow neck 1.42 mm). Changing the restrictor does not change the filling quantity of

-
Disconnect refrigerant lines by unscrewing threaded connection -A- (seal off open connections).
-
Pull restrictor out of refrigerant line -B-using needle nose pliers.

-
The restrictor must fit in refrigerant line without play.
-
Check O-ring seal -C- (7.5 mm x 1.5 mm) for correct seating in groove.
-
Replace O-ring seals (11.1 mm x 1.8 mm).
-
Before installing O-ring seal into restrictor lubricate O-ring seal with refrigerant oil.
-
Install refrigerant lines free of stress.
