Fluid Filter - A/T: Service and Repair

Oil Strainer

Removing

‹› General repair notes. Refer to => [ Repair Information ] . 

‹› Observe cleanliness rules when working on automatic transmissions. Refer to => [ Cleanliness Working Conditions ] .

Remove oil pan. Refer to => [ Oil Pan ] See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Fluid Pan/Service and Repair.

Remove bolts - arrows -.

-

Carefully remove oil strainer from valve body.

Installing

Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

Lightly coat seal on oil strainer suction collar with ATF.

Carefully press ATF strainer suction collar into the opening at valve body as far as stop.

Install oil pan => [ Installing ] See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Fluid Pan/Service and Repair.

Fill with ATF. Refer to => [ ATF, Changing and Filling after a Repair ] See: Fluids/Fluid - A/T/Service and Repair/Procedures/ATF, Changing
and Filling After a Repair.
