Condition
Noises from the steering system. May be caused by air which can be drawn into the power steering pump if the power steering fluid is clearly below the
minimum mark during cold conditions.
Service
DO NOT replace any power steering system components until the following is checked:

Verify customers concern.

Check the power steering fluid level.

Check system for leaks.
-
Check installation of the filter/screen in the reservoir.
-
Check for other possible sources of noise such as belt driven engine accessories, their belt tensioner(s) and brackets.
-
Ensure that hoses are not rubbing against the body or other components.
