Remove spacer (Figure 1, 3) as follows:

1.

Locate engine speed (RPM) sensor (G28) (Figure 1, 1). See Repair Manual Group 24 >> Component locations, overview.

2.

Remove spacer (Figure 1, 3) from between engine speed (RPM) sensor (G28) (Figure 1, 1) and the gearbox (Figure 1, 2). Discard the spacer.

3.

Reinstall engine speed (RPM) sensor (G28) (Figure 1, 1) to gearbox using bolt (Figure 1, arrow). (Torque = 10 Nm.)

4.

With VAS 5051 or VAS 5052 Diagnostic tool connected: Check ECM for DTCs and for misfire detection in Measuring Value Blocks (MVB) 015
and 016.

5.

Erase DTC(s) as necessary.
