Select Diagnosis Function "04- Basic settings.

EVAP Canister Purge valve -N80-, checking

Note:

Purge valve check must be completed prior to checking LDP using "071" (see LDP -V144-, checking below).

Input "070" on keypad.

-

Press "Q" on keypad to confirm.

-

Press "Activate" button. 

After test completes:

VAS 5051 should indicate "TBV OK".

If test continues to indicate "TBV not OK":

-

Replace EVAP Canister Purge valve -N80-.

-

Repeat test.

If test continues to indicate "TBV OK:

-

Proceed with following steps.

LDP -V144-, checking

-

Locate LDP -V144- (see appropriate Repair Manual, Repair Group 20- "Leak Detection Pump (LDP) -V144-, removing and installing").
