Place sticker for deactivated side airbag -1- on left and right at door frame -2- of rear doors (arrow).

Fax copies of Repair Order and completed and signed Client request form to Audi Product Support at : (800) 839-5499. Also retain a copy for
your own records.

WARNING:

-

After deactivation, appropriate adhesive language labels from label kit MUST be affixed to the appropriate location on the vehicle.

-

Ensure that the Airbag Control Module -J234- has been correctly coded for side airbag deactivated.

Activating

WARNING:  Observe safety precautions for working on airbags.

Remove rear seat

NOTE:  Side airbags at left and right can only be switched on together. It is not possible to switch on the side airbags individually.

There is one harness connector at left and right by the "C-pillar"

-

Cut cable ties for harness connectors.

-

Connect harness connectors -1- for side airbags.

-

Connect harness connectors -1- in cushion cut-out of rear seat bench.

-

Remove rear wheelhousing trim.

-

Connect harness connector to crash sensor at C-pillar.

-

Install rear wheelhousing trim.

-

Install rear seat bench.

-

Remove sticker for deactivated side airbags from door frame of rear door.

-

Remove any residual adhesive from door frame using cleaning solvent.

-

Change coding of Airbag Control Module -J234- to the code for rear side airbags.
