Front Airbag Crash Sensor, Assembly Overview

WARNING:  Observe safety precautions for working on airbags.

Crash sensor, Driver's Front airbag -G283-and Passenger's Front airbag -G284-

See Cautions before beginning repairs on electrical system

Removal
-

Disconnect battery Ground (GND) strap.

-

Remove as necessary the air guide appropriate to engine version.

-

Disengage tab on yellow connector -3-and disconnect connector.

-

Remove two bolts -2- at crash sensor -1-.

-

Installing
-

Switch ignition on.

WARNING:  No person may be inside the vehicle when connecting the battery.

Connect battery Ground (GND) strap.

Tightening torque 9 Nm.
