Loosen bolts of tie rod end and press tie rod end downward and out of way.

-

Unscrew hex bolts -3- and -4-

Note:  Always replace nut -4-.

Pull out tie rod

-

Loosen bolted joint to release suspension strut from track control link.
Tightening torque: 90 Nm 

Note:  Use a new nut.

Position suspension strut in front of track control link as seen in direction of travel.

-

Unscrew speed nut -arrow-.

-

Pry out clips and remove cover.

-

Disengage cable.

-

Remove plastic cover.

-

On 6-Cyl. engines, remove shield on driver's side.
Tightening torque: 2 Nm
