Bonded rubber bushings can only be turned to a limited extent. The bolted joint of suspension strut/track control link is therefore only to be tightened
when the vehicle is standing on the ground.

Screw tool VAG 1907 onto steering gear.
1. Hex socket-head bolt
2. Threaded hole in steering gear

Seal steering gear with hex socket-head bolt -1-.
Tightening torque 22 Nm.

Install driver's storage compartment.

Install wheel housing trim.

When steering gear installation is complete, remove hose clamps -3094-.

Install battery and, if applicable, decode radio.

Check hydraulic fluid level.

Bleed steering system.
-
Check steering system for leaks.

Check wheel alignment
