Initially tighten collared bolt -1- to 190 Nm (give further 1/2 turn when vehicle is on the ground).

-

Installing coil spring.

-

Proceed as follows to tighten bolted joints -1-, -3-, -4- and -5-:

Lower vehicle onto wheels and loosen bolted joints.

-

Bounce vehicle several times.

-

Tighten bolts.
Tightening torques:
Item 1: 95 Nm (bring eccentric bolt into marked position)
Items 3 and 4: 85 Nm plus additional 90° turn
Item 5: 160 Nm plus additional 90° turn

Turn collared nut additional 180°.

Front wheel drive vehicles
-

Remove wheel.

-

Drive in a new dust cap.

Note:

Always replace damaged (dented) dust caps.

Damaged (badly dented) dust caps allow moisture to penetrate. For this reason, you must use the tool illustrated here.

Further procedure for all vehicles

Check wheel alignment.
