Clean seat of bushing in hub carrier/wheel bearing housing.

Coat entire surface of rubber bushing and seat in hub carrier/wheel bearing housing with assembly lubricant G 294 421 A1 -diluted with water to a
ratio of 1: 100-.

Install rubber bushing -A- so that wide collar faces downward -arrow-.

-

Press rubber bushing into hub carrier or wheel bearing housing in one continual movement until collar of rubber bushing makes contact with tool
VW 792 and is noticeably under pressure.

Note:

If pressing in process is interrupted, rubber swells and bushing cannot be pressed in any further without damage.

Hold hub carrier/wheel bearing housing fast while pressing in bushing.

Press rubber bushing back again until dimension a = 10 ± 0.8 mm.
