Clamp suspension strut in vice

Pre-tension coil spring with tensioner VAG 1752/1 and spring plate VAG 1752/4 until upper spring plate is free.

Unfasten collared nut from piston rod using special tools -T10001/3-, T10001/11 and T10001/7.

Remove suspension strut components and pre-tensioned coil spring with tensioner VAG 1752/1.

Remove protective cap -1- and lower spring seat -2-.

Mark installation position of lower spring plate in relation to shock absorber.

Loosen spring plate -3- using a plastic hammer and lift up to remove.
