Slide sealing ring onto 3404 thrust piece so that the larger and projecting outer ring (arrow) of sealing ring faces tool.

Drive in sealing ring up to 3404 thrust piece stop.

Note:  If installing the intermediate flange to the output shaft carelessly, the sealing lip of the sealing ring can be damaged.

Fill area between sealing lip and dust lip halfway with sealing grease G 052 128 Al.

Installing intermediate flange for front final drive.

^

Install center differential.
