Lift up locking cable securing spring -4-. Pull locking cable support bracket -5- sideways off shift mechanism, then disengage locking cable eye.
Installing
Install in reverse sequence, note the following points:

Route locking cable behind instrument panel brace (arrow) without kinking.

Turn ignition key to "ignition on" position.

Insert locking cable -1- in ignition/starter switch.
