Note:

The vehicle must be absolutely horizontal when checking transmission oil level. This work is best performed over an inspection pit or using a
4-column lifting platform.

The prescribed oil level is to be adhered to exactly, the transmission reacts very sensitively to over-filling.
Test sequence

Take vehicle for a short test drive to heat gear oil to approximately 60°C.

Switch off engine and allow 5 minutes for gear oil to settle back into transmission case.
-
Release quick-fasteners -2- and -3 and take off rear sound insulation.
