3. Check the condition of the damper/spring assembly. If the damper is broken (Figure 1), the window regulator will need to be replaced.

4. If the damper is not broken, lubricate the damper elements (Figure 2) with lubricant part number G 052 172 A1. The window regulator does not need
to be removed for this operation.

5. Open and close the window a few times.

6. Reinstall the door panel.
